Bob and Doris sat on the couch together after hugging, crying, and catching up for a few minutes. Bob told Doris everything that had happened to him from being deployed to the front lines to being caught and returning home.
He had been battered and injured, but he believed his mother would find him, dead or alive. Doris loved her son for his bravery in the face of such a tragedy and, after all, she was very proud of him.
