Although Erica was struggling to try to make ends meet on her own, she always found comfort in having Rio by her side. And as it turns out, Rio was not only there during her low moments. Rio was also there when her life started coming around.

Rio was able to witness Erica’s first date with Billy and he was also around when Erica gave birth to Jane. Rio has become an important part of Anderson’s family life just as he had become important to Erica. He also became Jane’s first friend.
