Unity For A Cause
Aside from the media frenzy of the story of how a loving mother got to receive a degree together with her son and her act of compassion and sacrifice, many have praised the two presidents for coming together. They have put aside their differences and worked towards one goal that would create unity in everyone who attended the ceremony. Not many university heads would bother with a story like Stephan’s and Sharonda’s, but the two presidents did because they knew it was the right thing to do.

The mother and son duo have gone on to succeed in their own ways. And the incredible memory of sharing their graduation together will last them for generations to come. Sharonda may have been willing to give up her portion of happiness just to make her son happy, but in the end, it was humanity that gave both of them a chance.
