New Theme Options On Substack Now Available

To much of its users delight, Substack has finally added a long-awaited feature – the capability to add more themes to newsletters. Writers can now choose appealing background colors, accent colors and set a variety of fonts for the title and body of the content.

It may be a little limited in terms of customization but it does provide a uniqueness to the newsletters and make each one stand out. At the moment, they are all alike, except for profile pictures and link colors.

This new feature is being dubbed as Themes, and Substack has said that it plans to continually add more options for its users. This feature is already available today.

Aside from Themes, Substack writers may take advantage of two other features being released very soon. They will get the ability to create sub-lists of members and only send out specific emails to them. The other feature also allows users to add a “multipub” tool that will enable them to combine multiple newsletters and podcasts all under one publication. A noted competitor in this arena, The Dispatch, already has this tool that allows for a dozen titles to be bundled. Substack has noted that these two new options will be launched in February.
